Smallholder Agribusiness Partnership Program (SAPP) is implemented under the Ministry of Agriculture and it has been jointly funded by the Government of Sri Lanka and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).The SAPP is designed to contribute Sri Lanka's smallholders’ poverty reduction and competitiveness. The program development objective is to sustainably increase the income and quality of diet of 57,500 smallholder households involved in commercially-oriented production and marketing systems. The SAPP program is instrumental to achieve GOSL priorities under the national policy framework on rural development through Public, Private, Producer Partnerships (4Ps).

Applications are invited from the citizens of Sri Lanka with the below mentioned qualifications to fill the above vacancy in the Programme Management Unit.

The ideal candidates for the following positions should be highly ambitious, result-oriented with proven leadership & negotiation skills, exceptional team management abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.

Consultant – Nutrition – 01 position

Qualifications and Experience

• Master or higher degree in possession of a master’s degree in human nutrition, public health or institution administration, Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Development or related fields with minimum 3 years of experience. 
• First degree either with Agriculture Food Science, or Agri-business and Technology is more desirable.
• Working experience in a similar capacity in a donor funded project is desirable.

1. Experience in implementing agricultural and rural development projects
2. Experience in developing business proposals, designing and delivering trainings on business development and capacity development of producer organizations and farmer organizations
3. Experience in similar assignments in donor funded projects  will have an advantage

Other requirements for all posts above

• Highly motivated,  committed and prepared to travel extensively
• Working knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to work independently in Microsoft Office Packages
• Ability to work in other local languages would also be considered as an added qualification.
• High degree of independence, flexibility and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Payment : Negotiable
