Ministry of Urban Development and Housing Port City Development Project

Vacancy

01. Project Description:

 A tripartite agreement has been signed between the three parties, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka), Urban Development Authority (UDA) and CHEC Port City Colombo Pvt. Ltd. (project company) for implementation of the Colombo International Financial City Project(Port City Project). Under this tripartite agreement, a great deal of responsibilities falls on the Government of Sri Lanka. The Ministry has set up a Project Management Unit for coordination, management, observation, and supervision of the responsibilities assigned to the Government of Sri Lanka.           
As per the Public Management Service Circular No.: 01/2019, one of the following academic & professional qualifications is required to have been fulfilled to be eligible for applying for the above position.

 
02. Post - PROJECT DIRECTOR (PS-01)

2.1. Academic & Professional Qualifications: 
(1) or (2) or (3) below 

 1)  A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission

 Or 

A qualification recognized by the UGC as an equivalent qualification to the degree in relevant field Or  

2)  An Associate membership/ A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant filed With at least 16 years post qualifying experience in Managerial Level, out of which 8 years should be in the Senior Managerial level.

A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission

Or  

A qualification recognized by the UGC as an equivalent qualification to the degree in relevant field

Or

An Associate membership/ A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant filed and    Corporate chartered Associate membership/ A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant field

or

A Postgraduate Degree in the relevant field

with

At least 14 years post qualifying experience in Managerial Level, out of which 07 years should be in the Senior Managerial level.

3)  A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant filed, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission

Or 

A qualification recognized by the UGC as an equivalent qualification to the degree in relevant field And 

A postgraduate degree in the relevant field

With

Corporate chartered Associate membership/ A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant field

or

A Postgraduate Degree in the relevant field

with

At least 12 years post qualifying experience in Managerial Level, out of which 06 years should be in the Senior Managerial level.

2.2. Remuneration 

 For those outside of Public Officers:   200,000 - 2× 10,000 -220,000/=   

2.3. Other Benefits

Entitle to EPF & ETF benefits.  Project Director will be assigned a vehicle and a driver.

For Public Service Officers:  Provisions in Management Service Circular 01/2019 will apply.

3. Other Eligibility Requirements:

 Applicants for the post shall be the citizens of Sri Lanka and not be more than 65 years of age.
