Job Description

SANITATION AND HYGIENE INITIATIVE FOR TOWNS (SHIFT) PROJECT VACANCIES

( Project Contract Basis )

Applications are hereby invited from citizens of Sri Lanka for the following vacancy in the Sanitation and Hygiene Initiative for Towns (SHIFT) Project.  The applicant should possess the qualifications as given below.

POST OF SENIOR SOCIAL OFFICER

(01 Post.)

Salary Code : PS 5(Rs.95,000 + Cost of Living Allowance)

Project Category :  Above USD 100 million and Less than USD 250 million

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1.)  A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Or

A qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the degree in the relevant field.

Or

An associate membership / A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant field.

And

At least 05 years of experience in the water  and sanitation sector. 

Preference will be given to those who have experience in community mobilization activities and ESHS activities for infrastructure projects.

Age limit below 65 years by the closing date of application.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE : The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one year renewable annually, subject to satisfactory performance appraisal. Conditions in the Management Services Circular No. 01/2019 will apply in relation to the appointment.

METHODS OF SELECTION :

Shortlisted applicants based on the qualifications and experience, will be called for an interview and selection will be based on the performance at the interview.
