Job Description

UNIVERSITY OF VAVUNIYA SRI LANKA VACANCIES 

 

The University of Vavuniya will entertain applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following posts. 

 

PERMANENT FACULTY OF BUSINESS STUDIES 

 

FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCE 

 Department of Physical Science 

 Post: Instructor in Computer Technology Grade II Note: Preference will be given to those who have a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing or in Computer Science with Mathematics /Statistics as Subject(s)

 

Qualification

Instructor in Computer Technology Gr. II- Ref. UGC Circular No.725 and our website.

 

Slaray Scale

Instructor in Computer Technology Gr. II U-AS- 2(II) – 2016 A Rs. 50,625 – 3x1,335 – 54,630 (EB) 55,965 -14x1,335 - 74,655/-p.m

Research allowance – 35% (Payable to the Academic Staff based on the research activity) 

Additional monthly allowance – 20% (for all permanent posts)

Cost of living allowance of – Rs. 7,800/-p.m

• Sabbatical leave entitlement for the holder of the Post of Senior Lecturer Gr.II and above. 

• Membership in Universities Provident Fund.

METHOD OF RECRUITMENT 

 Instructor in Computer Technology Gr. II By aptitude test and interview. 

 

CLOSING DATE

Downloaded application forms should accompany with the paid Bank Slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs.100/- credited to the Bank of Ceylon, Account No: 2364602 in favour of Bursar, University of Vavuniya. 

Candidates who apply for more than one post should submit separate application forms with separate Bank Slips. The post applied for should be marked on the top left-hand corner of the envelope. Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Boards should channel their applications through the Heads of the respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. 

Only shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview.
