CITY UNIVERSITY OF KEGALLE

The City University of Kegalle is established by State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research & Innovation under Ministry of Education with the objective to provide free higher education to youth to make them a completely new breed of graduates empowered with future-ready skills. This project has been implemented under the Gazette Extraordinary Number 2209/14 dated 04.01.2021.

Salary :-

•  Management Assistant - Rs  30,725 + 7,800 ( Allowance)

MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

1.  Should have passed the GCE (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects at  one sitting with Credit passes in :-

i. Sinhala Language / Tamil Language ii. English Language / English Literature iii. Mathematics

AND

2.  Should have passed in all subjects at G.C.E (A/L) Examination (except the Common General Paper) at one sitting.

(Passing in 3 subjects under the Old Syllabus at one sitting would be sufficient for this purpose.)

3.  Preference will be given to those who possess the following;

a) An acceptable qualification in computer applications of not less than six (06) months duration obtained from a recognized institute.

AND

b) Two years of experience in the use of computer application packages.

Note:- Eligibility

a)  Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

b)  Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age on the closing date of applications.

c)  Should be of good character.

The applicants are further instructed to study the details of above vacancies appearing on the website of the State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research & Innovation.

 Duly perfected applications, along with relevant educational qualifications (detailed degree certificates), copies of professional and service certificates and copies of certificates to support other qualifications should be sent under registered cover to reach the Secretary, State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research & Innovation, 354/2, “Nipunatha Piyasa”, Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 05 on or before 04th March 2022.

The post applied for should be clearly mentioned on the top left-hand corner of  the envelope containing the application. Officers of government departments/ corporations and other institutions should submit their applications through their respective heads of institutions. Kindly ensure that an additional copy of the application being forwarded through the head of institution, is also sent to the address given.

Applications received later than the prescribed date will not be considered. Incomplete applications will be rejected without intimation.
