Job Description

UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO SRI LANKA VACANCIES 

The University of Colombo will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the following Contract Posts up to 15th October 2021.

03. QUANTITY SURVEYOR (ON CONTRACT) - 02 POSTS 

Qualification / Experience: 

(I) Should possess a BSc degree specializing in Quantity Surveying from a recognized University with a minimum of two years experience : 

OR 

(II) Should possess a NCT, HNDE, NDT in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with at least three 

(03) years of experience in Quantity Surveying in a recognized establishment.

 Other requirements

(I) well experienced in taking measurements, taking-off and preparation of BOQS scrutinizing bills and measurements.

Salary : Rs. 60,000 - 70,000 per month including Rs.7,800/- as cost of living allowance (Depending on the work experience)

 Age : Not more than 45 years

General Conditions for on contract basis posts:

• The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one (01) year and the period of contract will be renewable subject to annual performance of the selected person during the period of contract and the requirement of the University.
• The selected candidate will be a member of the Employees Provident Fund. He/ She will contribute 8% of his/her monthly salary to the Employees Provident Fund and at the same time the employer will make a total contribution of 12% of his/her salary to the Employees Provident Fund. Three percent (3%) of the salary will be contributed by the University to the Employees’ Trust Fund in terms of the provisions of the Employees’ Trust Fund Act, No. 46 of 1980.
• The other conditions of appointment will be in accordance with the provisions of the University Act No. 16 of 1978, Universities and its amendments.
