Post of Senior Lecturer Grade I/ Senior Lecturer Grade II

(Contract Basis)

The Department of Agricultural Extension, University of Peradeniya will entertain applications for the post of Senior Lecturer Grade I/ Senior Lecturer Grade II in the Department, on Contract basis, from among persons who hold the following qualifications.

Educational Qualifications:

A basic degree in Agriculture/ Agriculture Technology and Management or any other degree related to Agriculture.

AND

A Postgraduate Degree of at least two academic years duration in Agriculture Extension, Organizational Management / Development Communication or related area with a research component by way of thesis/ dissertation Areas of Expertise:

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, research and development experiences in Productivity Enhancement Training, Agriculture Extension Education, Developmental Extension.

Experience:

At least six (06) years of experience in; teaching at university level/ Professional experience/ Research in a recognized Institution/ Postgraduate Studies for MPhil or PhD degree is needed.

Professional experiences in working with agricultural communities, conducting training and development work will be an added advantage.

The contract will be for a period of one (01) year.
