VACANCIES Sri Palee Campus - University of Colombo

 The Sri Palee Campus, University of Colombo will entertain applications from qualified Sri Lankan candidates for the following posts up to 28th December 2021.

01.Technical Officer (Electrical) Grade III

Qualifications :

1. Should have passed in three (3) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in one sitting in Physical Science stream.

AND

2. Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the N.V.Q. Level 5 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or recognized Institution in the field of Electrical Engineering/ or Equivalent

Salary Scale : 

U - MT 1 (III) Rs. 31,625/-7x300,10x355 - 37,275/- (monthly) and other allowances approved by the University

Selection Method :

By Written and/or Practical Test and an Interview

Age Limit :

 Not less than 18 years and more than 45 years in the closing date of application.

Conditions and Benefits :

01. These Posts are permanent. The appointment will be on probation for a period of three (03) years.

02. Selected candidates will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund by means of monthly deductions from his/her salary an amount equivalent to ten (10%) percentum of his/her earnings. The University will, in addition out of its funds contribute at the same time a sum equivalent to seven (7%) percentum of his/her earnings to the Universities Provident Fund and eight (8%) percentum of his/her earnings to the Pension Fund.

03. Three percentum (3%) of the earnings will be contributed by the University to the Employees Trust Fund.

04. Other conditions of appointment will be in accordance with the provisions of the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978 and subsequent amendments and Ordinances, Regulations, Rules, etc., made thereunder.

02. Duly completed application together with certified copies of relevant certificates etc. should be sent to reach the Deputy Registrar, Sri Palee Campus, University of Colombo, Wewala, Horana on or before 28th December 2021.

03. Should indicate the post applied for on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.

04. Applicants from Higher Educational Institutions, Government Departments and Government Corporations should apply through the Heads of such Institutions. Applications which do not conform to these requirements will be rejected. Such applicants are strongly advised to submit an advance copy to the Deputy Registrar, Sri Palee Campus, Wewala, Horana.

05. Incomplete, Clearly not filled, Certified copies of Certificates not attached, which do not conform to these requirements, and applications received after the closing date will be rejected without intimation.
