Job Description
UNIVERSITY OF VAVUNIYA
I. WALK IN INTERVIEW
Walk in interview for the following posts will be held on 20th July 2022 at the Board Room of the University of Vavuniya, Pambaimadu, Vavuniya at 2.00 p.m.
1. Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Tamil for Sinhala Students
2.Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Sinhala for Tamil Students
Candidates who have the required qualifications are requested to appear for the interview with relevant certificates, NIC and self-prepared application.
II. CALLING APPLICATIONS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following posts.
Department of Physical Science, Faculty of Applied Science
1.Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Applied Mathematics & Computing
2. Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Computer Science / Information Technology Special Note:
Preference will be given to those who have a special degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology
3. Temporary Instructor in Computer Technology
Qualifications:
Temporary Assistant Lecturer - A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject. - Ref. UGC Circular No.721.
Salary:
Temporary Assistant Lecturer - Rs. 49,860/- (Fixed)
Note: In addition to the salary, the allowances approved by the University Grants Commission will also be paid.

The Candidates who apply for more than one post should submit separate application form with separate Bank Slip. The post applied for should be marked on the top left hand corner of the envelope.
Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Boards should channel their applications through the Head of the respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation. Only short listed applicants will be called for an interview.
