Remuneration and other benefits 

(i). Remuneration 

U-AS 2(II) - Rs.50,625-3x1335-54,630 (EB) 55,965 – 14x1335 -74,655 p.m.

In addition to the above salaries the following allowances will be paid

(I) Cost of Living Allowance, (Currently Rs.7800.00 p.m.) 

(II) Additional Allowance - 20% of the basic salary p.m. 

(III) Monthly Compensatory Allowance - 45% of the basic salary p.m. 

(ii). Other Benefits 

* Loan facilities. 

* University quarters will be provided subject to availability.

Provident Fund & Pension Fund

• Permanent employees of the University are required to contribute 10% of their monthly salary to the Universities Provident Fund and the University contributes a sum equivalent to 18% of their monthly salary of which 8% will be credited to the Universities Pension Fund, 7% to the Universities Provident Fund (UPF) and 3% to the Employees' Trust Fund (ETF).

How to apply 

(I) The post applied for, should be marked on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

 (II) Candidates in Public Service, Corporations, Statutory Boards and Universities should be forwarded their applications through respective Heads of Institutions. A time extension will be given for a period of two weeks after the closing date of applications for applicants in the said sectors. They may send an advance copy of the application to reach the Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Establishments Division. (Applications which are not received through proper channels will not be considered.) 

The duly completed applications (downloaded from the Web Site) on prescribed forms together with copies of relevant certificates, documents (copies of NIC, birth certificate, degree certificates, academic transcripts, Service certificates etc.) should be sent under Registered Cover to reach the Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Establishments Division, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, on or before 31.08.2022. 

Incomplete applications, applications not in the relevant format (not downloaded from the Web Site), applications without supporting documents (copies of NIC, birth certificate, degree certificates, academic transcripts, Service certificates etc.), and applications received after the closing date will not be considered. Applications will not be entertained if they are handed over in person. The University will not bear the responsibility for such submissions.
