Job Description

VACANCIES UNIVERSITY OF VAVUNIYA

The University of Vavuniya will entertain applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following posts.

Security Inspector Grade. II

Qualifications:

a) G.C.E(Ordinary Level) Examination in 06 subjects at not more than 2 sittings with credit passes in 5 subjects. The credit passes must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature and Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.

OR

b) Employees of the University System with not less than 5 years’ satisfactory service and who have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 06 subjects at not more than 03 sittings. The subjects passed must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature & Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.

AND

ii) Not less than 05 years satisfactory service in the Police or Armed service or Security service in the University System or other recognized security organization.

iii) Should have actively participated in Sports.

iv) Height : Not less than 5 feet and 4 inches.

      Chest : Not less than 34 inches (Normal).

Salary Scale : U-MN1(IIIA)Rs.30,725-17x300-35,825p.m

Selection : By Interview 

Age Limit : Not more than 45 Years

The Candidates who apply for more than one post should submit separate application form with separate Bank Slip. The post applied for should be marked on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments /Corporations and Statutory Boards should channel their applications through the Head of the respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channellled through the Head of the Department is not received. Illegible, incomplete and late applications will be rejected without intimation.
