Job Description

UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO SRI LANKA VACANCIES 

(On Contract Basis)

Applications will be entertained from suitably qualified applicants for the following Post of the Colombo University Press.

Printing Press Operator (01 vacancy)

Job Responsibilities

•      Knowledge of overall operating digital printing and offset printing machines including binding, creasing, and cutting machines.

•      Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and performing minor repairs as needed.

•      Reads Clients requirement.

•      Check Qualities, Stock, Specifications etc.

•      Able to meet deadlines and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications         : 

Educational Qualifications

•      Should pass G.C.E. O/L with six subjects including three(03) credits with Mathematics and English.

•      Pass G.C.E. A/L with three (03) subjects in new syllabus or four (04) subjects in old syllabus.

•      Ability to read and communicate in English. Professional Qualifications

•      Successfully complete certificate course in Digital Printing Technology at Sri Lanka Institute of Printing or any other government recognized institute. Work Experience

•      Three (03) years as a Digital Printing Machine Operator at recognized institute or press.

Age  : Between 21 - 45 years

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 60,000/- with cost of Living (Negotiable)

Period of Contract : One (01) Year

GENERAL CONDITIONS

This appointment is on contract basis initially for a period of one year. However, the University may consider to extend the service of the selected candidate depending on satisfactory performance during the period of contract.
