CEYLON GERMAN TECHNICAL TRAINING INSTITUTE

VACANCY

Director-Principal – (HM 2-1) - Post 01

Applications are invited for the recruitment for the above post on permanent basis in the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute affiliated to the Ministry of Education, Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research & Innovation Division.

Qualifications -

External -

External -  B.Sc degree in Automobile/ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering field from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission 

And

Postgraduate (Masters) Degree qualification in the field of Automobile/ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 20 years experience at Managerial Level in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercanti le Establishment, out of which 05 years should be at Senior Managerial Level with the proven record of teaching and training of relevant subjects, handling of students and industrial related experience. 

Or

(B) Having obtained a Corporate Membership in the field of Automobile/ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 18 years experience in Managerial Level in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercanti le Establishment, out of which 05 years should be in Senior Managerial Level with the proven record of teaching and training of relevant subjects, handling of students and industrial related experience.

Internal –

An officer with a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in Deputy Director-Deputy Principal post in the senior manager category

Salary Scale – HM 2-1 – 2016 - Rs. 91,645 - 2700 x 12 – 124,045/- (In addition, government approved allowances will be paid.

Method of Recruitment - Selection by Structured Interview.

Age Limit

Should not be less than 45 years and not more than 57 years as at the closing date of applications. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.

O Entitled for annual Bonus according to Government Circulars. O Employee’s contribution towards Employees’ Provident Fund will be 08% of the salary, while contribution of the Institution will be 12 % and 03 % towards the Employees’ Trust Fund. 

General Conditions –

O Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

O Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the Island. 

O Should be of excellent moral character. 

O The employee appointed to this category externally will be on probation for a period of three years. He/ She will be confirmed at the end of this period provided that his/her performance and conduct have been satisfactory during the above period. The employee selected internally who are already confirmed in the previous post will be subjected to an acting period of one year. 

O Recruitment to the above post will be on the starting salary step
