Moragolla Hydropower Project

VACANCIES

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka having qualifications and experience specified below and preferably having worked previously in Government or private large projects for the following posts on fixed term contract basis for the Moragolla Hydropower Project (MHP).

CIVIL SUPERINTENDENTS - Two (02) Vacancies 

3.1 Qualifications and Experience:

• Possess a National Diploma in Technology in Civil Engineering of the University of Moratuwa.

Or

National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) – IET Katunayake Or   Diploma in Technology – OUSL 

Or

Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) – Mattakkuliya and Labuduwa. 

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying work experience in Hydropower Projects and/or major construction projects in Sri Lanka or abroad is compulsory. 

3.2 Professional Competencies: 

• Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings, working drawings, shop drawings and any other relevant technical details. 

• Ability to read, understand and implement technical specifications. 

• Ability to work in tough working environment such as dam, tunnels and powerhouse.

• Ability to work on day and night shift basis. 

• Ability to supervise all types of work onsite to ensure required quality and productivity. 

• Computer literacy of standard computer applications such as AutoCAD, Word processing, Excel and Power Point presentations.

• Physically fit and able to walk around for long periods of time at the site. 

• Good public relations skills and ability to communicate effectively. 

• High level of proficiency in written and spoken English. 

• Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese language will be an added advantage. 

3.3 Remuneration 

• Management Circulars issued by the Ministry of Finance. 3.4 Duties: 

• The Civil Superintendent shall assist the Project Director/Project Manager (Civil)/Consultants and all the Civil supervision work related proceedings of Moragolla Hydropower Project.

Age Limit  : Candidates should be more than 18 years and not more than 55 years of age  at the closing date of applications.

This maximum age limit will not be applicable to those who are already.

confirmed in the Public Service/Public Institutions.

Mode of Selection :  By an Interview.

Base Station : Project site office, Moragolla, Gampola. 

Closing Date/Time : March 21, 2022 at 10.00 hrs.

Terms & Conditions of Service:

The appointment will be on contract basis for one(01) year term subject to renewal annually based on satisfactory performance. The contract may be extended for further term depending on the requirement of the project.

Other Benefits:

1.Those selected will be entitled to Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) with Employee’s Contribution of 10% and CEB Contribution of 15%.

2. Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) Contribution of 3% by the CEB.
