Moragolla Hydropower Project

VACANCIES

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka having qualifications and experience specified below and preferably having worked previously in Government or private large projects for the following posts on fixed term contract basis for the Moragolla Hydropower Project (MHP).

2 . LAND OFFICER - One (01) Vacancy

2.1 Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or any other higher qualification in a relevant field from a recognized Government Institute with G.C.E (Advanced Level) and overall experience of 05 years out of which at least 03 years should be in land acquisition and related work.

2.2 Professional Competencies:

• Preparation of all relevant documents pertaining to land acquisition.

• Co-ordination of land acquisition work with relevant agencies.

• Preparation of plan for granting deeds for people in the resettlement village and ensure each stage of the process is completed on time.

• Ensure all the acquired lands for the project are properly vested to CEB (Except lands given to resettlers) upon completion of the project.

• Computer literacy of standard computer applications such as AutoCAD, Word processing, Excel and Power Point presentations.

• Ability to communicate effectively.

• Good public relations skills.

• High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.

•  Proficiency in written and spoken Sinhala and Tamil will be an added advantage.

2.3 Remuneration

• Management Circulars issued by the Ministry of Finance.

2.4 Duties:

• The Land Officer shall assist the Project Director/Project Engineer (REM) and all the lands related proceedings of Moragolla Hydropower Project.

Information given below is common for all applicants.

Age Limit  : Candidates should be more than 18 years and not more than 55 years of age  at the closing date of applications.

This maximum age limit will not be applicable to those who are already.

confirmed in the Public Service/Public Institutions.

Mode of Selection :  By an Interview.

Base Station : Project site office, Moragolla, Gampola. 

Closing Date/Time : March 21, 2022 at 10.00 hrs.

Terms & Conditions of Service:

The appointment will be on contract basis for one(01) year term subject to renewal annually based on satisfactory performance. The contract may be extended for further term depending on the requirement of the project.

Other Benefits:

1.Those selected will be entitled to Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) with Employee’s Contribution of 10% and CEB Contribution of 15%.

2. Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) Contribution of 3% by the CEB.
