The Co-operative Wholesale Establishment

Applications are invited from qualified citizens of Sri Lanka for the following posts at the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment.

Chief Executive Officer / General Manager - 01

Qualifications

External:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Science / Agriculture / Business Administration or any other relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission and Postgraduate Degree in Science / Agriculture / Business Administration or any other relevant field or Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution in Management And At least 20 years’ experience in Managerial Level out of which 05 years of experience should be at Senior Managerial Level with a proven track record in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment after obtaining the first degree

Or

2.A Bachelor’s degree in Science / Agriculture / Business Administration or any other relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission And PhD Degree in Science / Agriculture / Buisness Administration or any other relevant field And At least 05 years’ experience at Senior Managerial Level with a proven track record and management experience in a Corporation, Bord or reputed mercantile Establishment after obtaining the first degree.

Internal:

A minimum of five (5) years satisfactory service in a post in the Senior Manager Category in the subject area relevant to the post and a proven ability to lead and direct multidisciplinary teams.

Experience in proper deployment and efficient management of human and other resources.

Salary and other Allowances Salary : As per Circular 02/2016 of the Department of Management Services HM 2-1 – Rs. (93,020 – 12 x 2,700 – 125,420)

Other Allowances: (Transport Allowance of Rs. 50,000 / and the monthly fuel allowance applicable to the post according to the Government circulars + monthly phone reimbursement of Rs. 9000/- will be paid)

Age: Age should be not less than 35 years and not more than 55 years.

The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.

Nature of Appointment

Permanent with entitlement to Employees Provident Funds (EPF) and Employees Trust Fund (ETF).
