Management Trainee

Qualifications required

Should possess a special degree with a class from a recognized university in any of following subjects/ fields,

Banking and Finance, Management (Public / Business Administration), Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, Agriculture, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Marketing, Law, Statistics or Valuation.

Or

A special degree in any of above fields with a general pass and Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka or Business Level II from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka or equivalent qualification

Or

An Associate Membership from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka or a passed finalist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka / Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the United Kingdom / Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom or equivalent qualification.

 

Priority will be given to the applicants those who have computer or IT literacy and ability to work in a second language. Priority will be given to those who have a good understanding in community activities..

 

Age - Not more than 28 years of age by the closing date for applications.

 

Closing date for applications - The closing date for applications is 02.03.2022.

 

Selection Procedure

Selection will be through competitive written examination and interviews. The written competitive examination will comprise with  following subjects.

  • Analytical Skills and IQ Test-  Sinhala/ Tamil/ English
  • General Knowledge- Sinhala/ Tamil/ English
  • English Language - English

Training and Appointment

Appointees are required to train for two years. During the training period, a six-month evaluation will be conducted. Those who successfully complete the two year training period will be absorbed into the permanent cadre for Officer Grade IV and placed in the initial salary stage of the salary scale of Rs. 54,635 - 750 * 3 - 56,885/= per month. (Monthly gross salary will be Rs. 115,144/-)

 

Probation period

Confirmation will be subject to a probation period of one year (which computes after the training period of two years)and performance will be evaluated during the probation period.

 

Remuneration

A fixed monthly allowance of Rs. 40,000/= (all inclusive) during the first year of training period and Rs. 45,000/= ( all inclusive) during the second year of training period will be paid on contract basis.
