Trainee Banking Assistant
Required Qualifications:
Should have passed 6 subjects in G.C.E . Ordinary Level with at least 5 Credit passes including Mother Language (Sinhala/Tamil) and Mathematics in one sitting.
And
Passed in G.C.E Advanced Level with 3 passes in one sitting(excluding General English and General Knowledge).
Having passed in General English and General Knowledge in G.C.E. (A/ L), working knowledge on computer applications and in second language will be considered as added qualifications.
Preference would be given at the interview for those who have actively participated and engaged in rural community activities.
Age Limit
Not less than 18 years and not 1nore than 23 years as at the closing date of the applications.

05th September 2021.
Selection Procedure
The knowledge of shortlisted candidates will be tested by a written competitive examination and an interview. Written competitive examination which will comprise with following subjects/papers.
Candidates who meet the stipulated standards at the said examination will be called for the interview.
Selection will be based on district basis and they should permanently reside in the relevant district at least recent 05 years to the closing date of application(05.09.2021).
Appointment and Service Conditions
This appointment will be subject to a two-year training period .Confirmation will be subject to a probation period of one year, which computes after the training period of two years and evaluation of performance during the training period. Taking into Permanent Cadre will be considered after completing the Intermediate in Applied Banking & Finance of IBSL or equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body.
Remuneration:
A fixed monthly allowance of Rs.22,000 /- during the first year of training and Rs.25,000/- during the second year will be paid. Those who complete the training period of two years successfully will be absorbed into the Banking Assistant Gr. 5-I and placed on the initial salary stage of the salary scale of Rs.32, 480/ - 280 x 20 - 38,080/- per month.
