Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering Officer – Airport & Aviation Services Limited 2022

 We are looking for highly motivated individuals with right attitudes to fill the following vacancies existing at Jaffna International Airport Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering Officer (On Contract)

Job Scope : Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering Officer (Contract) is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of Air Traffic Safety Electronics (ATSE) Systems operated for providing Communication, Navigation and Surveillance services to Aircraft and for the maintenance of Aviation Security equipment. The role of the candidate extends towards achieving serviceability targets for these ATSE and associated systems to ensure safety of Aircraft operations and associated services.

Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering Officer (contract) will receive ab-initio training in ATSE Systems and should have the ability to work under pressure and should be willing to work on roster basis. The successful candidate shall be committed to AASL’s core objectives, adheres to Company policies, works well in co-ordination with others and shall be a motivated, self-starter who would be in a position to handle multiple tasks within a fast paced environment

Qualifications :

The National Diploma in Technology in Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering field awarded by the University of Moratuwa

OR

The Higher National Diploma in Engineering in Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering field awarded by the Technical College/ Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education

OR

The National Diploma in Engineering Science in the Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering field, awarded by the Institute of Engineering Technology

OR

Diploma in Technology in the Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering field awarded by the Open University of Sri Lanka

OR

Technician Certificate, Technician Diploma & Advanced Technician Diploma (Parts I, II & III of Old Syllabus) in Telecommunication of City & Guilds of London Institute Examination

AND

 A minimum of 03 years’ post qualifying experience in the relevant field in a reputed organization (03 years’ of work experience should be acquired from the date of one of the above qualifications is awarded).

Other Requirements :

i. Selected candidates should successfully complete a training course of 04 months’ in Electronics Engineering provided by the Company.

ii. Preference will be given to the candidates, who are residing around Jaffna International Airport.

iii. Proficiency in English language would be an added advantage.

Age : Should be less than 35 years on the closing date of applications.

Salary : A monthly fixed allowance will be paid during the contract period.

Mode of Selection : By a written test and an interview.

Note:

The contract is initially for a period of one (01) year. Renewal will be considered only on the performance of the selectees and the requirements.

The selected candidates will have to perform duties at Jaffna International Airport, or any other airport in the island as when necessary.
