Job Description

NURSING OFFICER 

(Management Assistant Technical Service Category MA-2-1)

Station where the vacancy exists - Pulmoddai Plant

Educational and Professional Qualifications

(a)Should have passed in six(06) subjects in one sitting including English Languages with four Credit passes including.

• Sinhala/Tamil
• Mathematics

At the General Certificate of Education(Ordinary level)Examination.

(b)Should have obtained the qualifying level to follow a tertiary education course passing in all subjects (except in General Common Test) at the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)Examination(in the subject stream)

And 

competency/Proficiency

Should have obtained a certificate relevant to nursing training from an institution recognized by the government and should be registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Nurse and should have one(01) year's experience in a hospital recognized by the government after having the training.

Internal Applicants

Should have fulfilled the qualification for the external applicants mentioned above.

Salary code and monthly salary scale relevant to MA-2-1 Service Category

Salary Code No- MA-2-1 , Rs:30,310 -300*10 -350*7 -495*4 -660*20 -50,940/= as per Management Services Circular No:02/2016

Age limit - Should not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. Maximum age limit will not be applicable to internal applicants.

General conditions 

• Every applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties entrusted to the post and to serve in any part of the island.
• Should have an excellent mortal character.
• PAYE(Pay as You Earn)Tax will be recovered from the total earnings of the selected applicants.
