Post of Chief Executive Officer /

General Manager - Super Grade HM-2-1

Job Profile

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/General Manager would be overall responsible for the Management functions of the organization assigned to the post by its Board of Directors. The CEO/ General Manager as the head of the organization would be responsible and accountable for all affairs of the company and would directly report to Chairman and Board of Directors. Further the CEO/GM would be required to submit management information, reports and board papers to the Board of Directors for information and the decision-making purposes.

Nature of Appointment :

This is a full-time basis appointment with entitlement to approved benefits for employees of Lanka Salt Ltd and to the said position. The Board of Directors of LSL has the authority to appoint a person on fixed term contract with required competencies, qualifications and experience to perform the role of CEO/ GM.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

External :

 01.  Full professional qualifications issued by IESL, ICA(SL), ACCA, CIMA, CMA or equivalent qualification

Or

 02. A  Degree recognized by the UGC in the field of BSc. Engineering, Physical Science, Biological Science, Chemistry, Business Management, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Quality Management, B.Com, Public Administration or equivalent qualification

And

Post Graduate Degree (MBA, MSC) in Accounting Finance,   Public  Administration,  Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Management or other professional qualification issued by a recognized professional Institution with

At least 18 years experience at managerial level in the relevant field, out of which 7 years should be at senior managerial level with a proven track record in a Government, State Corporation, Board or recognized mercantile establishment / institution 

Or

 03.  Class I officers of Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS)/Sri Lanka Planning Service (SLPS)/Sri Lanka Accounting Service (SLAcS) also could apply through their Ministry heads under the fulltime secondment Basis from Public service.

Internal :

A minimum 05 years of satisfactory service in the post of Deputy General Manager in the higher management category (HM 1-3) with at least 18 years experience in managerial level in the relevant field and out of which 10 years should be at senior managerial level,

A nd Proven ability to lead and direct multidisciplinary teams & managing human & other resources to achieve company goals.

Age Limit : Should be not less than 45 years and not more than 62 years. The upper age limit will not apply to employees of the Government, State Corporations, Boards and internal candidates.

Salary Scale : HM-2-1: Rs. 93,020 -12 x 2700 = 125,420/=
