OFFICER CADET VACANCIES (SHORT COURSE INTAKE)OF SRI LANKA ARMY -REGULAR FORCE

Basic Qualifications

• Citizenship :Must be citizen in Sri Lanka
• Age: Between 18-24 years by 30 September 2021
• Hight : Not less than 5'6"
• Weight : Not less than 52kg(118 lbs)
• Chest :Not les than 32'
• Body Mass Index(BMI) will be considered
• Eyesight:6/6(without corrected vision)
• Marital Status :Unmarried male

Education Qualifications

• GCE(O/L) Examination : Passed Eight(08)subjects with minimum of five(05) Credit passes in one sitting and compulsory Credit passes for English ,Mathematics ,science and Sinhala or Tamil not more than in two attempts .The candidates who have obtained a simple pass for English at GCE(O/L) will be considered if they possess NVQ Level-4or above diploma in English offered by a UGC recognized university/Institute.

• GCE(A/L) Examination : Possess three(03) Simple Passes and obtain 30% marks for the common General Test in one(01) sitting and not more than three (03) attempt at the GCE(A/L) Examination.

• An equivalent result obtained a internationally recognized examination such as Pearson/Edexel ,GCSE,GCE and Cambridge may also be considered with the acceptance of the Department of Examination ,Sri Lanka recognizing that these exams  are equivalents to GCE(O/L) and GCE(A/L) in Sri Lanka.
