Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) is the largest passenger transport providing institution in Sri Lanka consisting of 107 Depots and affiliated regional workshops, training schools spread over the island and employing more than 30000 persons. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill Driver and Conductor posts, existing vacant, at depots of all regional offices, on contract basis.

02. POST OF CONDUCTOR (CONTRACT)

Educational Qualifications and Other Qualifications

i. Passed G.C.E (O/L) Examination in 06 subjects including Maths and Mother tongue with 02 Credit passes (in not more than two sittings)

ii. Age should be between 18-45 years

iii.  Weight should be 46 kg

iv. Height should be 5'

v.  Should be in perfect health

vi.  Possessing a Conductor Licence will be special qualification

General Conditions and facilities Offered

• The employee should contribute 8% of his monthly salary and the employer will provide 12% for the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). The employer will provide an additional 03% to the Employees Trust Fund (ETF).
• A Rs. 30,000/- monthly contract stipend with over time and incentive allowances will be paid.
• After recruitment, they will be deployed on work rotation basis.
• Recruitment will be done on the results of a training course conducted after an interview and on Board procedure.
• Members of low income families will be given special attention on the Hon HE President's concept.
